Bringing home the trophy for Best Customer Service

Betsson Group has won the prestigious award for Best Customer Service at the EGR Operators Awards. These are the Oscars of the igaming sector and rewards operators for setting the standard in over 30 different categories.

Melissa Zalbeigi, Head of Customer Service, comments on receiving the award:

“It feels amazing! It validates that we have a strong customer support team with the right people and processes in place,” she states. 

The EGR award rewards customer satisfaction, through internal and external surveys, and Betsson has one of the highest ratings in the industry.

“The people working at Customer Service at Betsson Group really have the customer at heart. I think that’s necessary when you’re working in such a fast paced environment, and sometimes long hours. You need to have a passion for it,” Melissa says.

Fierce competition

Betsson Group won the EGR Customer Service award both in 2016 and 2014. The competition this time around was fierce, with eight other well-known gaming companies shortlisted in the category.

“We were up against some very worthy competitors this year, which makes the award even more valuable,” Apostolos Dousias, Director of Operations at Betsson Group, states and continues:

‘’This award is the reflection of a true team effort both within and outside Customer Services. It is all about the co-operation between the different departments that allow us to deliver this great experience,“ he says.

“At Customer Service we interact directly with the customer. When we then bring the customers’ feedback to other parts of the company, they always listen and strive to improve the experience. So working within a company like Betsson Group, that has that kind of culture, is definitely a part of our success,” Melissa explains.
