Part of Betsson Group, Racebets is one of the biggest online bookmakers worldwide. The Development Team for the brand work in a fast-paced, fun, and agile environment based in the heart of Malta – St. Julian’s!
The team is looking for someone who is not scared of pipping up and getting involved in the decisions when it comes to implementations – in fact, they certainly encourage it as you will be part of an agile team laying down the foundations for the future codebase!
There are no dull days, as you will be working on a unique, cross-platform, B2B racing framework using cutting edge technologies based on Java 17, PHP 8, Vue.js and Typescript.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU
The main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Implementation of a robust set of services and APIs to power our web applications
- Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges
- Building reusable code and libraries for future use
- Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability
- Implementation of security and data protection
YOU ARE GOOD AT
- Proficient knowledge of object-oriented development using PHP 8
- Strong knowledge of at least one popular PHP web framework such as Laravel or Symfony
- High level knowledge of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- You are familiar (hands-on experience) with TypeScript, Vue.js, Tailwind CSS.
- Proficient understanding of OWASP security principles
- Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
- Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL statements
- Experience with automated testing platforms and unit testing
