We have around 150 employees in the Stockholm office, with the vast majority working in Technology on backend development, brand sites, native apps and technical operations and support. It’s also home to our holding company, Betsson AB, as well as HR and Finance. The office is located in Stockholm city centre, near the Central Station.
What we offer
We offer all our employees in Stockholm a competitive salary and benefits that include a pension plan and health contribution. In addition, we provide free massage in the office and several discounts at shops, restaurants and bank loans. We like to reward your efforts with a number of external and internal events and we arrange the ‘Stockholm Friday monthly’, where everyone’s welcome to listen to various speakers in relaxed conditions and enjoy free drinks and snacks.
Our location means getting to us is easy as you’re close to trains, the Metro and even planes, as the Airport Express Train is close to hand. If you cycle or jog to work, you can always use our showers.
And when you’re here, we’ve tried to cater for most tastes. Our kitchens are well equipped so you can prepare your meals and we have coffee and tea-making facilities too. We also have vending machines with a variety of different food and drink options and you’ll find free fruit to snack on around the office. If you need a break, you can also head to any of the shopping malls, supermarkets, bars, restaurants and cinemas that are just a walk away. Or, why not have a quick game of ping-pong, foosball or play your favorite video game in our gaming room?
As Sweden’s capital city, Stockholm is a vibrant and cosmopolitan city. Spread across 14 islands, there’s something for everyone, from the beautiful and historic Old Town to the trendy and fashionable island of Södermalm. And whilst it can be cold in the winter (temperatures do drop below 0°C), summers are usually pleasant and very sunny. And because of its location, its mild weather and long days are great for hiking, cycling, swimming or fishing – something that’s very popular in Sweden.
San Francisco’s Silicon Valley may be the world’s leading area for high-tech companies and start-ups but Stockholm is probably the closest that Europe has to offer. Of the total investment made in the Nordic countries in start-ups in 2013, 66% of that money went into Swedish companies. Successful Sweden-based start-ups include Spotify, King, Skype, Klarna and Mojang. Programmer is even the most common and popular job in Stockholm, further proof of the fact that Stockholm is a hub for technology-focused, ambitious professionals keen to meet and network with like-minded people at meet-ups, conferences and seminars.
